Overview of 2022 Annexation

The City of Portland has began the process of annexing approximately 1,243 acres of land west of the current Portland city limits. The area being annexed is in Portland's extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).

Draft Development Agreement

Residents in the annexation area received a letter from the City of Portland along with a form titled "Application to City of Portland for Development Agreement Pursuant to §43.016, Local Government Code". If you received this form and believe your property qualifies for a development agreement, you must submit a completed form by November 22, 2022, by 5:00 p.m.
