Fingerprinting services are provided to the public at the Portland Police Department, located at 1902 Billy G. Webb Drive, for professional licenses, concealed handgun permits and various legal reasons. The department does not fingerprint for immigration. Printing is done Monday through Friday, 7 am to 9 pm and Saturday, 8:30 am to 11:30 am.
Portland residents are fingerprinted for free. Non-residents may obtain fingerprints for $10 for the first two cards and $5 for each additional card. You must provide your own cards and a picture ID.
Any cards that are rejected due to the quality of the prints will be reprinted free of charge. All other reason(s) for rejection will be subject to usual fees described above.
Portland police officers can provide free fingerprinting services to children ages 5 to 12 using the Print-A-Kid fingerprint card. We do not provide child photographs or ID cards for citizens. Contact Lt. J. A. Cano at (361) 777-4900 to arrange for Print-A-Kid services.
