Recruiting

When a position becomes available, applications are accepted for a specified period of time, unless otherwise stated. When a deadline is published, applicants must complete the application and return all required paperwork before the deadline. Applicants may be required to take a general knowledge written exam testing the applicant's ability to observe, reason, and communicate. Applicants may also be required to take a polygraph exam.

  • Oral interview board
  • Complete personal history statement
  • Comprehensive background investigation conducted
  • Physical exam, psychological exam, and drug testing

Police Officers

  • Submit application and personal history statement
  • Preliminary background investigation
  • Oral interview board
  • Comprehensive background investigation conducted
  • Physical exam, psychological exam and drug testing
