5. Minutes: The City Council will consider the minutes of its July 6, 2004 regular workshop and regular meeting.
6. Public hearing: The City Council will conduct a public hearing to solicit comments from citizens and other interested parties concerning a request from Craig Ward of Connections, Inc. for a special use permit (group home) at 209 Lang Road. The legal description of the property is Abstract 203 MJ Mclean Sur A-35 Section Q (100 x 187.89 feet).
7. Ordinance granting special use permit: The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that grants a special use permit for the operation of a group home at 209 Lang Road to Connections, Inc.
8. Engagement of consultant: The City Council will consider engaging Local Government Services, LLC for the renegotiation of a non-exclusive cable television franchise and a review of franchise fee payments.
9. Ordinance extending franchise: The City Council will consider the second and final reading of an ordinance that extends the non-exclusive Charter Communications VI, LLC cable television franchise an additional year.
10. Executive session: The City Council will conduct an executive session according to Section §551.072 (deliberation regarding real property) and Section §551.087 (deliberation regarding economic development negotiations) of the Texas Local Government Code to discuss the acquisition of critical easements in the Portland growth corridor.Action may be taken in public by the City Council at the conclusion of the executive session
