5.    Minutes:  The City Council will consider the minutes of the August 5, 2003 regular meeting and workshop.

 

6.    Ratification of decisions:  The City Council will consider ratifying August 19, 2003 Portland Community Center Complex Development Corporation decisions.

 

7.    Ordinance amending 2002-2003 fiscal year budget:  The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that amends the 2002-2003 fiscal year budget.

 

8.    Public hearing on 2003-2004 fiscal year budget:  The City Council will consider  a public hearing to solicit comments from citizens and other interested parties concerning the proposed 2003-2004 fiscal year budget.

 

9.    Ordinance adopting 2003-2004 fiscal year budget:  The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that adopts a 2003-2004 fiscal year budget.

10.    Ordinance adopting ad valorem tax rate:  The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that adopts a 2003 ad valorem tax rate.

11.    Resolution authorizing tax resale:  The City Council will consider a resolution authorizing the ad valorem tax resale of Lots 1 through 12, Block 2, Land North Subdivision Unit IV to Rudy Barrera.

 

12.    Request for additional funds:  The Chamber of Commerce is request $917.50 in additional funds to purchase a full page ad in a Coastal Bend visitors guide.

 

13.    Plan to finance venue project:  The City Council will consider a plan to finance the venue project (swim facility and festival site elements) following a presentation by the consulting city financial advisor (Steve Elliott of Southwest Securities).

14.   Ordinance increasing deposits and courtesy hook-up fees:  The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that increases residential deposits and courtesy hook-up fees.

15.   Ordinance increasing administrative/billing fees:  The City Council will consider the second (final) reading of an ordinance that increases the administrative/billing fees for residential and commercial solid waste services.

 

16.   Ordinance amending animal control regulations:  The City Council will consider the second (final) reading of an ordinance that amends animal control regulations.

 

17.    Ordinance amending grass and weed height regulations:  The City Council will consider the second (final) reading of an ordinance that amends grass and weed height regulations.

 

18.    Ordinance increasing alarm fees:  The City Council will consider the second (final) reading of an ordinance that increases alarm fees.

19.    Ordinance amending Code of Ethics The City Council will consider the second (final) reading of an ordinance that amends the City Code of Ethics.
