B.    General action items, resolutions and ordinances

5.    Minutes: The City Council will consider the minutes of the May 20, 2003 special workshop and regular meeting.

 

6.    Public hearing: The City Council will conduct a public hearing to solicit comments from citizens and other interested parties concerning the amendment of the Unified Development Ordinance (addition of zoning regulations for amusement redemption machine establishments.)

Rules of public hearing participation

a.    Persons who wish to comment or present questions must fill out and turn in a speaker card before the public hearing is opened (Mayor Burke will notify you when it’s your turn to speak and direct you to the podium).

b.    Persons who wish to comment or present questions must identify themselves and their places of residence.

 

c.    All comments and questions must be presented to or through Mayor Burke.

 

d.    Persons who wish to comment or present questions will only be given 3 minutes to do so.

 

e.    Comments and questions will not be permitted after the Mayor has closed the public hearing.

7.    Amendment of the Unified Development OrdinanceThe City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that amends the Unified Development Ordinance (addition of zoning regulations for amusement redemption machine establishments).

 

8.    Resolution establishing a moratorium: The City Council will consider a resolution establishing a moratorium on any further water connections to residents outside the city.

 

9.    Community Center rental fee and deposit schedule:  The City Council will consider a new Community Center rental fee and deposit schedule.

 

10.    Policy governing the wavier of Community Center rental fees:  The City Council will consider a policy governing the waiver of Community Center rental fees for civic groups.

 

11.    Street improvement bids:  The City Council will consider bids submitted on May 21, 2003 for work associated with the street improvement program (Phase 5).

 

12.    Over-sized cost participation:   The City Council will consider underwriting the over-size of the permanent Bay Ridge subdivision lift-station.

 

13.    Official City of Portland summer photo contest:   The City Council will consider conducting an official City of Portland summer photo contest. (This item was placed on the agenda at the request of Council Member Ron Jorgensen.)
