        a.    City Manager Mike Tanner will introduce the new director of recreation.

        b.    Director of Public Safety Randy Wright will address proposed fleet changes.

B.    General action items, resolutions and ordinances

5.    Minutes: The City Council will consider the minutes of the November 19, 2002 special workshop and regular City Council meeting.

 

6.    Application for drilling permit: The City Council will consider an application for a drilling permit filed by Royal Production Company (the drill site would be located approximately 325 feet north of the intersection of Buddy Ganem Drive and Memorial Parkway). This agenda item was tabled at the November 19, 2002 regular City Council meeting following a public hearing.

  

7.    Election brochure:   The City Council will consider the design and distribution of a brochure that prepares citizens to vote in the February 1, 2003 venue project election.

 

8.    Appointments to Parks and Recreation Advisory Board: the City Council will consider appointments to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

 

9.    Ad valorem tax refund:   The  City  Council will consider an ad valorem tax refund greater than $500.00 to First American Real Estate Tax Service.

 

10.    Ordinance abolishing Economic Development Commission:  the City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that abolishes the Economic Development Commission.

 

11.    Ordinance redefining mission of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board:  The City Council will consider the second and final reading of an ordinance that redefines the mission of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

 

12.    Ordinance abolishing Animal Control Advisory Board:   The City Council will consider the second and final reading of an ordinance that abolishes the Animal Control Advisory Board.

 

13.    Executive session:  The City Council will meet in executive session according to Section ยง551.071 (1) of the Texas Local Government Code to discuss pending or contemplated litigation with the Landmark Organization over capital cost recovery.

Action may be taken by the City Council in public at the conclusion of the executive session.
