5.    Minutes: The City Council will consider the minutes of the August 6, 2002 workshop and regular City Council meeting.

 

6.    Ratification of decisionsThe City Council will consider ratifying August 20, 2002 Portland Community Center Complex Development Corporation decisions.

 

7.    Public hearing on exclusive sanitation service franchise extension:   The City Council will conduct a public hearing to solicit comments from citizens and other interested parties concerning the 5 year extension of an exclusive sanitation service franchise to B.F.I.

 

8.    Ordinance extending exclusive sanitation service:   The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that extends an exclusive sanitation service franchise with B.F.I. for 5 additional years.

 

9.    Ordinance amending current budget: The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that amends the 2001-2002 fiscal year budget.

 

10.    Public hearing on proposed budget:  The City Council will conduct a public hearing to solicit comments from citizens and other interested parties concerning the proposed 2002-2003 fiscal year budget.

 

11.    Ordinance adopting 2002-2003 fiscal year budget:   The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that adopts a 2002-2003 fiscal year budget and a plan to reorganize city government.

 

12.    Ordinance adopting new tax rate:  The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that adopts an ad valorem tax rate.

 

13.    Amendment of advanced funding agreement:   The City Council will consider amendment No. 1 to an advance funding agreement (Portland Hike & Bike Trail Project) and the payment of $4,675.85 to TXDOT.

 

14.    Appointment to Parks and Recreation Advisory Board: The City Council will consider the appointment of Matt McIntosh to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

 

15.    Ordinance revising Parks and Recreation Advisory Board mission: The City Council will consider the first reading of an ordinance that revises the mission or the Parks and Recreations Advisory Board.

 

16.    Establishment of ad hoc cable television franchise committee:   The City Council will consider the establishment of an ad hoc cable television franchise committee and appoint of a chair person.  This item placed on the agenda at the request of Council Member Ron Jorgensen.

 

17.    Ordinance amending skate park regulations:   The City Council will consider the second and final reading of an ordinance that amends skate park regulations.
