B.    General action items, resolutions and ordinances

5.    Minutes: The City Council will consider the minutes of the September 4, 2001 regular council meeting.

 

6.    Contract for motel occupancy tax financed services:  The City Council will consider a contract for motel occupancy tax financed services with the Portland Chamber of Commerce.

 

7.    Motel occupancy tax budgets:  The City Council will consider Portland Chamber of Commerce budgets (2000-2001 fiscal years) for motel occupancy tax funds. 

 

8.    2002 Windfest co-sponsorship:  The City Council will consider co-sponsorship of the 2002 Windfest.

 

9.     Board and commission appointments:  The City Council will consider board and commission appointments.

 

10.    Base reduction and closure funds:  The City Council will consider appropriating funds for the defense of Coastal Bend military installations subject to the Base Reduction and Closure process review.

 

11.    Ordinance authorizing settlement:  The City Council will consider the second and final reading reading of an ordinance authorizing a settlement in a class action suit styled City of Edinburg v. Central Power and Light Company (Cause No. C-1149-01-A).

 

12.    Ordinance increasing solid waste collection rates:  The City Council will consider the second and final reading of an ordinance that increases the solid waste collection rates.

 

13.    Ordinance establishing building security fees:   The City Council will consider the second and final reading of an ordinance establishing municipal court building security fees. 

 

14.    Ordinance setting a non-consent tow fee and establishing requirements for auto wreckers and vehicle storage facilities.  The City Council will consider second and final reading of an ordinance setting a non-consent tow fee and establishing requirements for auto wreckers and vehicle storage facilities.
