Street Maintenance
Responsibilities
The Streets Division performs street maintenance and repairs including potholes, crack sealing, curbs and gutters, sunken roadway areas and other problems which may be hazardous to pedestrians or vehicles.

Phase 9 Street Overlay & Reconstruction Program
In February 2014, the City's consulting engineer completed a Comprehensive Street, Parking Lot, Sidewalk, and Trail Study to develop a long-range plan for maintaining and improving infrastructure throughout Portland.  The plan identifies approximately $15,000,000 of street seal coats, overlays, rehabilitations, and reconstructions to be completed within the next six years.  Existing street conditions are located here and identified improvements are located here.

The Notice to Proceed for the Phase 9 Street Overlay & Reconstruction Program was issued January 25, 2016; construction will begin the week of March 7th.  Design Maps for Phase 9 can be found here; check back for schedule updates.  The contractor's door hanger notification can be viewed here.
