Obtaining Reports
Crash Reports
To receive a crash report, Texas law requires that you provide us with at least two of the following pieces of information:
  • Date of the accident
  • The location / address of the accident
  • The name of a driver involved

Offense Reports

Citizens can request a copy of an offense report by contacting the department’s Records Division at (361) 777-4820 or by visiting the Police Department at 1902 Billy G. Webb Drive. Generally, citizens are entitled to copies of reports in which they are the victim of crime. Reports may not be made available in certain circumstances, such as when the report is not complete, or when a case is still under investigation,

The department complies with all requirements of the Texas Open Records Act (TORA). For more information on TORA requests, please see the below.
