Every year a group of ten high school aged students are selected by the City Council to make recommendations on youth related programs, policies, and allocations to the Council and other City Departments. These select teens attend bi-weekly meetings to discuss youth issues and plan youth events for the community. The Portland Youth Commission is the next generation's chance to make a difference now.
Who is Eligible? Any high school aged student that is in good standing with the U.I.L. and lives within Portland City Limits. How can I apply? Applications will be available starting in August at the Portland Community Center. Deadline for submittal is October 11th, 2006. |
