ALL SENIOR SERVICES HAVE BEEN MOVED TO THE PORTLAND COMMUNITY CENTER FROM MONDAY, OCTOBER 6-WEdnESDAY, OCTOBER 15 DUE TO BUILDING MAINTENANCE REPAIRS. THE PORTLAND SENIOR CENTER WILL RE-OPEN ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16 AT 9:00 AM. PLEASE JOIN US AT THE PORTLAND COMMUNITY CENTER. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL THE PORTLAND PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT AT 777-3301.

All seniors are invited! If you enjoy good company and like to meet new people, come visit us. Lunch is sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging. Pre-registration and approval is required. You do not have to take part in the lunch program to enjoy the fun offered at the Center.

Silver Sneakers

The SilverSneakers Fitness Program is a comprehensive older-adult fitness program that addresses the needs of the Medicare (65+) population.

When: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10:30 a.m.
Where: Portland Community Center
Cost: FREE to Silver Sneakers members

Info: The Silver Sneakers aerobics is a chair-based fitness class. It focuses on retraining useful movements that decline with age. A great class with activities paced for you set to fun, catchy tunes.

Special Events

All Seniors in the communtiy are invited to join us for montly special events and field trips to local attractions. Transportation will be provided for those who are interested, so sign up early because space is limited. The meal and activity will be paid by the participant. Stay Tune for the upcoming special events. This page will be updated soon.
