All seniors are invited! If you enjoy good company and like to meet new people, come visit us. Lunch is sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging. Pre-registration and approval is required for the lunch. You do not have to take part in the lunch program to enjoy the fun offered at the Center.

Silver Sneakers
The SilverSneakers Fitness Program is a comprehensive older-adult fitness program that addresses the needs of the Medicare (65+) population.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays and Fridays at 10:30 AM Where: Portland Community Center Cost: FREE to Silver Sneakers members
Info: The Silver Sneakers aerobics is a chair-based fitness class. It focuses on retraining useful movements that decline with age. A great class with activities paced for you set to fun, catchy tunes.
Lunch at the Big Fisherman
Enjoy lunch with your friends at the Big Fisherman on the first Tuesday of every month. The bus will depart the Senior Center at 11:00 AM. Sign up early, space is limited.
Game Days
Game Days will be held each month at the Senior Center. Join your friends for light refreshments, cards, dominos and bingo. Game Days are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:00 PM and are free of charge.
Senior Dances
Join the fun at the monthly Senior Dances held at the Portland Community Center. Grab your dancing shoes and come out for live music, snacks, dancing and lots of fun!

Matter of Balance Class Series Do you have concerns about falling? Learn how to manage falls and increase activity levels as well as reduce your fall risk at home. The Matter of Balance Class, an award winning program, will be held at the Portland Senior Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 3rd through August 26th. Class time is 12:00-2:00 PM. This class is free for all to participate. Class size is limited, so please sign up early.
Special Events:
End of Summer Party Send summer off in style with our annual End of Summer Cookout. We will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs to celebrate the end of another great summer.

Tour of Lights The Third Annual Portland Tour of Lights will be held Wednesday, December 16th at 6:00 PM. Join us at the Senior Center for cookies and hot chocolate. The first bus will leave at 6:15 PM and will tour the city to look at Christmas Lights. Space is limited, please sign up early.
Thursday, December 16, 2010 6:00 PM Christmas Party The annual Senior Christmas Party will include cookies, refreshments, music, door prizes and fun. Wear your favorite Christmas sweater and win a prize! Join us at the Senior Center to celebrate the holiday season.

Noon Year's Eve Do you want to celebrate 2011, but don’t want to stay up all night? Join the fun at our Second Annual Noon Year’s Eve! We will count down to noon with music, light brunch snacks and toast the New Year with sparkling grape juice. Dress in your best and come join the fun.
