 Portland is a great community. As an upscale suburb of Corpus Christi, we enjoy a remarkably low crime rate and a solid focus on family. But, 'low crime' doesn't mean 'no crime.' Keeping a safe community means forging a partnership between citizens and the officers who serve them. We all have to be vigilant, both as police officers and as citizens, to do all we can to keep our community safe. It will always be a full-time job. We pledge to you our commitment to keep Portland safe and attractive, living up to its reputation as the best place to raise a family in South Texas.
