Memorial Day 

Veteran’s and active military swim for free!  Thank you for your service.

Dive-In Movies   

Bring the whole family for a night at the pool.  Enjoy free popcorn and sno cones while swimming and watching a family friendly movie on the big screen.  The Snack Shack will also be open during this event.

Little Tykes Swim 

A special time for tots and their parents in our recreation pool.  This special event is for children 6 years of age and younger accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Children must stay within arm’s reach of a parent.  Other programming may be scheduled in the competition pool during this time.

Father’s Day Swim  

Fathers are important too!  Fathers swim free with a paid child during general swim hours.  Happy Father’s Day!

Christmas in July 

Join Good Ol’ Saint Nick and other guests in their summer gear as they enjoy their annual vacation to the Portland Aquatic Center.  There will be Christmas themed fun, games, crafts and snacks.  Parents, make sure you bring a camera for pictures with Santa and other special guest appearances.

Shark Week 

Discovery isn’t the only one who thinks sharks are cool!  The Portland Aquatic Center will celebrate Jawesome sharks each day during Shark Week. Come join us but beware….

Junior Lifeguard Camp  

Our unique program has been a hit!  This camp is designed to be a community based water safety program for youth ages 11-15.  Students will receive instruction in water safety, facility operations, basic work skills, lifeguard skills, first aid and CPR as well as proper nutrition.  Students will receive a certificate from the Jeff Ellis International Lifeguard Training Program, t-shirt, whistle, lanyard and many hours of fun and excitement.  Volunteer program available upon completion of this course.  Returning students will assist instructors and mentor others during the camp.  Participants must provide their own lunch, snacks will be provided.
