Division Responsibilities & Services

The Portland Police Department routinely generates reports of events that are investigated by police officers. The department's Records Division processes these reports and makes them available to the public.

Fees

  • Certified mail fee - Standard postal rate
  • Fingerprinting (local residents free) - Non-residents: $10 for up to two cards / extra cards $5 each
  • Offense / event reports over 10 pages - $0.10 per page
  • Offense / event reports under 10 pages - no charge
  • Police clearance letters - $5
  • Report certification - $2
  • Security inspection - $15
  • Traffic accident - $6 (certified $8)
  • Victim copy - no charge
  • VIN validation - $5
  • Local criminal history - $5

Personnel

The Records Division is handled by Elida "Lolli" Hodge. Mrs. Hodge has been with the Police Department since 2000. She prepares, screens, routes, files and distributes law enforcement and public safety reports and records. Aside from her regular duties, Mrs. Hodge assists customers at the front lobby, works closely with the Criminal Investigation Division and is responsible for the reporting of monthly crime statistics to the FBI.
