INFILTRATION & INFLOW STUDY

UPDATE: On March 26, the "smoke" testing phase of the I & I Study was completed.

During the next few months, the City of Portland will conduct a Sanitary Sewer Infiltration & Inflow (I&I) Study to address any deficiencies in the system on a proactive basis.

The study does involve a “smoke test,” which is not harmful to pets or humans. However, it is proven method of identifying and locating problems in the system.
